1. Commitment

InsideOut Wellness Academy is committed to equality of opportunity, dignity and respect in its education, assessment, business relationships and learning community. Discrimination, harassment, victimisation and bullying are not acceptable.

2. Protected characteristics

The Academy will not unlawfully discriminate because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

3. Scope

This policy applies to prospective and current students, graduates, tutors, assessors, associates, contractors and others acting on behalf of the Academy.

4. Education and assessment

  • Admissions, teaching and assessment decisions will be based on relevant and lawful criteria.
  • Reasonable adjustments will be considered for disabled students.
  • Adjustments will not remove or lower a genuine competence standard required for safe professional practice.
  • Assessment criteria will be applied consistently while allowing appropriate flexibility in how evidence is presented.
  • Quality assurance will include consideration of fairness and potential bias, including where technology or AI-assisted tools are used.

5. Conduct

Students and representatives of the Academy are expected to communicate respectfully and not engage in discriminatory harassment, bullying or victimisation. The Academy does not seek to control lawful personal opinions or private expression, but conduct connected with the Academy that harms others or creates an unlawful or unsafe learning environment may be addressed.

6. Raising concerns

Concerns may be raised with the Academy at info@insideoutwellness.academy. Depending on the issue, the Complaints, Reasonable Adjustments, Safeguarding or Assessment Appeals Policy may apply.
