Diploma in Clinical
Hypnotherapy

The course blends theory, experiential learning and business skills to give you everything you need for a flourishing hypnotherapy practice. We limit course numbers to create space for you to grow, which means plenty of opportunities for practice, questions and feedback.

The programme is organised into three taught phases - Understand, Become and Apply - followed by the supported Qualify phase. The 18 live teaching days are divided equally across the three taught phases, giving each stage a clear purpose. Your learning does not stop when the teaching ends: post-course business mentoring and development support are included.

Once your enrolment is complete you will receive confirmation and a personal welcome from the Academy, and we will explain how to access your materials and prepare for your first teaching weekend.

Support begins when you enrol, not only when the first teaching day arrives. We keep cohorts intentionally small, and enrolment closes when the available places are filled.

You do not need previous hypnotherapy training. You do need curiosity about people, a genuine interest in helping others and a willingness to learn, practise, reflect and receive constructive feedback.

The diploma suits people considering a new career and those already working as a counsellor, coach, healthcare or wellbeing practitioner who want to integrate hypnosis responsibly.

Successful graduates receive two professional diplomas as standard: the InsideOut Wellness Academy Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, accredited at Practitioner Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, and the NCH Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma, an NCFE-accredited customised qualification benchmarked at Level 4.

Both certification routes are included in the course fee, within one integrated assessment portfolio - so there is no separate upgrade examination, no duplicated assessment and no upgrade fee. You will be eligible to apply for professional registration with both the GHR and the NCH, subject to their current membership requirements and fees.

We aim to be as flexible as possible. Teaching is on weekends, 9.30am to 5.00pm, with an orientation afternoon to begin. Alongside the live days you should expect additional research and reading, plus assignments and case studies, in line with GHR and NOS requirements - spread across the length of the course rather than taken all at once.

Most students have some doubts before committing to a course like this, and feeling unsure does not mean you are not ready - more often it means you understand that becoming a clinical hypnotherapist is a responsibility and you care about doing it properly.
