Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy: Terms and Conditions

Last reviewed 31 August 2026 · Next review 31 August 2027

1. About this agreement

These terms apply to enrolment on the InsideOut Wellness Academy Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and any linked qualification or assessment route expressly described in the student's course information. The Academy can be contacted at info@insideoutwellness.academy. Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights.

2. Course description and qualification

The current prospectus, enrolment information and assessment guidance describe the course structure, teaching hours, required attendance, assessment components and qualifications available. Accreditation, professional-body recognition and external assessment arrangements are subject to the requirements of the relevant external organisations and may change where those organisations change their rules.

3. Attendance and participation

Students must meet the attendance requirement communicated for their cohort and complete mandatory practical and assessment activities. Where illness, disability or exceptional circumstances affect attendance, the Academy will consider reasonable adjustments or alternative arrangements where these can be offered without undermining required learning outcomes or competence standards.

4. Assessment

Students must complete the assessment components specified for their cohort. These may include an open-book examination, business plan, case-study evidence, reflective assignment and practical or recorded assessment. Assessment is based on the published criteria and the standard expected of a newly qualifying practitioner.

The Academy may use approved AI-assisted tools for limited administrative or preliminary review of permitted assessment material, but no student will pass, fail or qualify solely because of an automated decision. Human assessors remain responsible for final assessment decisions. Reflective assignments and recorded practical assessments are not submitted to the Academy's AI-assisted assessment workflow.

5. Case studies and confidentiality

Students are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent for case-study work, protecting client confidentiality, using pseudonyms or other anonymisation where required, and removing direct client identifiers from assessment submissions. Students must not upload identifiable client material to generative AI tools or other unauthorised services.

6. Reasonable adjustments

Students may request reasonable adjustments under the Academy's Disability Support and Reasonable Adjustments Policy. Adjustments may change how a student demonstrates competence but cannot remove an essential competence standard required for safe professional practice.

7. Academic integrity and use of AI

Assessment work submitted as the student's own must reflect the student's own knowledge, reasoning and professional judgement. Any permitted use of AI must comply with the Academy's Academic Integrity and Responsible Use of AI Policy and the specific assessment instructions. Undisclosed or prohibited use may be treated as academic misconduct.

8. Fees, payment and cancellation

Fees and payment arrangements are those confirmed at enrolment. Where the student contracts as a consumer at a distance, statutory cancellation rights will apply unless and to the extent the law permits an exception. Access to digital materials or early commencement of services does not of itself remove statutory cancellation rights unless the legal requirements for loss of the right have been met, including any necessary express request, acknowledgement or consent.

After any applicable statutory cancellation period, refunds or fee liability will be determined fairly in light of the services supplied, commitments made by the Academy, the circumstances of withdrawal and applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms prevents a student from raising a genuine payment dispute or exercising rights through their card provider or other lawful mechanism.

9. Recordings

Teaching sessions or assessments may be recorded where this forms part of course delivery, assessment, quality assurance or administration. Students will be told the purpose and access arrangements. Separate consent will be sought where a recording is intended for optional marketing use and consent is the appropriate lawful basis.

10. Conduct and confidentiality

Students must respect the confidentiality and privacy of other students and case-study clients and behave in a way consistent with a safe professional learning environment. Serious misconduct, unsafe practice, harassment, dishonesty or repeated material breaches of Academy policies may lead to disciplinary action or termination, following a fair process.

11. Complaints and appeals

Service complaints are handled under the Complaints Policy. Challenges to assessment decisions are handled under the Assessment Appeals Policy. Students will not be penalised for using these processes in good faith.

12. Changes to delivery

The Academy may make reasonable changes to dates, tutors, delivery mode, assessment administration or course content where necessary to maintain quality, respond to external requirements or deal with circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Material changes will be communicated and students' statutory rights will be respected.

13. Intellectual property

Course materials remain the intellectual property of the Academy or the relevant rights holder and are supplied for the student's personal learning and professional development. They must not be reproduced, sold, shared publicly or used to create competing training materials without permission, subject to lawful exceptions.
