Live online training from January 2027: Wednesday evenings 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm plus selected Saturdays, designed to fit around work, family and other commitments.
Enrolment is now open for our January 2027 cohort.
Teaching begins on Wednesday 6 January 2027 (orientation) and runs through to Saturday 10 July 2027, on Wednesday evenings from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm plus selected Saturdays. If you are considering joining us, you can enrol online or book a call with us first.
Every client brings their own experiences, needs, strengths, challenges and way of experiencing the world.
That is why our Diploma takes an integrative approach to hypnotherapy. Rather than teaching you to work within one fixed methodology, we introduce you to a range of therapeutic approaches and teach you how to apply them to real presenting problems.
You will learn how to assess and formulate, agree meaningful goals, plan appropriate therapy and adapt your approach according to the individual client in front of you.
You will learn how to make informed clinical decisions rather than relying on one fixed method or a collection of scripts.
We train you to adapt the therapy to the client, rather than expecting the client to fit the therapy.
“The tutors are so knowledgeable and friendly, and I loved the integrated method of teaching, covering CBT, somatic healing, mindfulness and NLP.”
Real clients rarely arrive with one simple issue.
Your Diploma includes dedicated training in trauma-informed practice and working with neurodivergent clients, alongside training in a wide range of common presenting issues.
You will learn how trauma and neurodivergence can affect assessment, communication, the therapeutic relationship, treatment planning and the way you adapt your approach.
The focus is not simply on learning theory. You will learn how to apply that knowledge safely and appropriately to real client work.
I arrived quietly unsure of myself and left genuinely ready to practise. The teaching is patient and practical, and the feedback along the way built my confidence until sitting with a real client felt like something I could actually do well.
Learn a range of therapeutic approaches so you can shape your work around the client in front of you rather than one fixed method.
Learn how trauma can affect assessment, communication and the therapeutic relationship, and how to work safely at the client's pace.
Learn how neurodivergence can shape communication, sensory needs and treatment planning, and how to adapt your approach to suit it.
Practise from your first teaching day, applying theory to realistic presenting problems and case work rather than reading about it.
Receive feedback from tutors and trained IOWA Coaches throughout, so you build confidence, flexibility and skill as you practise.
Learn how to attract clients, communicate your value and build a professional practice that lasts beyond your qualification.
“The course is pitched at a level which balances both theory and practical skills; it also has a business module which provides space and time to think about how we wish to incorporate Clinical Hypnotherapy beyond the course.”
Your course fee includes the opportunity to earn two diplomas: the InsideOut Wellness Academy Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, through our GHSC Practitioner Level accredited course, and the NCH Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), an NCFE-accredited customised qualification. Both are awarded following successful completion of the required assessments.
Build the knowledge, practical experience and confidence to work with real clients.
Your learning continues beyond the live teaching days. Recorded learning, comprehensive manuals, practical protocols and individual support give you the opportunity to deepen your understanding, revisit your learning and develop your skills throughout the programme.
By the time you qualify, you'll have completed 450 hours of professional training and development, building the knowledge, practical skills and professional judgement to work confidently with clients and adapt your approach to the individual in front of you.
Two accredited professional diploma pathways are included as standard.
You will practise from the beginning of your training. Structured practice sessions, tutor guidance and feedback from trained IOWA Coaches help you turn knowledge into real therapeutic skill.
That sequence repeats throughout the programme. You apply what you have learned to real presenting problems rather than reaching for a script, and constructive feedback after each practice session builds the clinical confidence and adaptability you will rely on when a client or a course of therapy develops differently from expected.
Our IOWA Coaches have completed our own rigorous coach-development programme. They support practice sessions, provide constructive feedback and help students recognise what they are already doing well and where they can develop further.
Alongside them you have personal tutor support from the day you enrol, so there is always someone who knows you, knows your work and can answer your questions as you practise.
Many students begin the Diploma unsure whether they will feel confident enough to work with real clients. Through repeated practice, feedback and support, that confidence develops throughout the course.
“You leave the course at the end fully ready to start your career. Feeling you are fully equipped and adaptable to do the best for your clients.”
Our teaching team brings together a wealth of experience across clinical hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, psychology, counselling, coaching and other therapeutic approaches.
Rachael brings 25 years of professional experience of training and Michelle brings over 30 years of experience of training.
The wider teaching team brings additional knowledge and experience from different professional backgrounds, reflecting the integrative approach of the Diploma itself.
Qualification is only one part of building a private practice. You will also learn how to position your services, attract appropriate clients, improve your visibility through search and AI, handle enquiries confidently and develop a sustainable practice.
We have first-hand experience of building successful practices and understand what works, what wastes time and where new practitioners often get stuck. You'll skip much of the trial and error and put your energy into what actually brings clients in, so your practice can get off the ground sooner.
Over the years, we have also invested extensively in our own development and worked with leading marketing experts, voice coaches and mentors to strengthen how we attract clients, communicate our value and grow sustainable businesses.
That experience is taught as part of the Diploma, in a dedicated business module, so your practice-building skills develop alongside your clinical training rather than after it. You graduate with the confidence to work with clients and a clear plan for building your practice, not just a qualification.
Students consistently describe the learning environment as warm, relaxed, supportive and professional. Small cohorts mean there is space to ask questions, practise, receive individual feedback and learn without feeling lost in a large group.
One course fee includes both diploma pathways. When you complete the required assessments, you'll have two qualifications to show for your training and the option to apply to two professional organisations.
Our Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy comes from a GHSC accredited Practitioner Level course. Successful graduates can apply for Practitioner registration with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), subject to its requirements.
The course also includes the NCH Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), an NCFE-accredited customised qualification. Successful graduates can apply for NCH membership and a practitioner listing, subject to its requirements.
Here's what graduates say about our Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy
They are unique and an amazing team. They are so approachable, understanding but most of all INSPIRATIONAL. What they offer is truly life-changing. They work with you on so many levels.
Coming to the training with no prior experience or knowledge, it gave me the confidence to start my practice immediately. The valued support I received after the training was second to none.
I love the way they work together in a down-to-earth and relatable way. They helped me create a new strand to my business when a lot of sports coaching and motivational work was cancelled during COVID.
They shared their knowledge, skills, experience and techniques which means I now have the confidence to thrive.
I thoroughly enjoyed the training and the balance between theory and practice. I loved the way the tutors interacted and the safe, supportive environment they created. I would highly recommend the course to anyone who is interested in adding hypnotherapy to their skill set.
We were treated like the number one person and could ask anything without judgement.
An orientation afternoon and 120 hours of live online teaching across Wednesday evenings and selected Saturdays, giving you the confidence and skills to launch your practice. We keep class sizes small to create space for you to grow.
Personal tutor support from the day you enrol and right through your training, with time to ask questions as you practise.
“I came to the Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy after years of wondering whether I could really do this. The teaching is warm and practical, and you are supported every step of the way. I finished with two diplomas and, far more than that, the confidence to sit with a client and know what to do.”

“The feeling of a supportive community from the students and tutors was amazing.”
Qualifying is the beginning of your practice rather than the end of your relationship with us. Post-course business mentoring is included, and you keep a place in our community of practitioners, so there is somewhere to bring questions as you take on your first clients.
Students frequently build relationships with their cohort that continue long after the course ends, meeting, referring and supporting each other well into professional practice.
You do not need previous hypnotherapy or therapy training to join us.
Our students include career changers as well as counsellors, therapists, coaches, healthcare professionals and other practitioners who want to add clinical hypnotherapy to their work.
What matters is that you are interested in working with people, willing to practise and open to learning how to adapt your approach to the individual client.

The course blends theory, experiential learning and business skills so you leave prepared to practise as a clinical hypnotherapist. We limit course numbers to create space for you to grow, which means plenty of opportunities for practice, questions and feedback.
The programme is organised into three taught phases - Understand, Become and Apply - followed by the supported Qualify phase. The 120 hours of live teaching, on Wednesday evenings with selected Saturday sessions, are spread across the three taught phases, giving each stage a clear purpose. Your learning does not stop when the teaching ends: post-course business mentoring and development support are included.
Choose whether to pay in full or spread the cost using one of our payment plans, and submit your payment to secure your place. Once your enrolment is complete you will receive confirmation and a personal welcome from the Academy, and we will explain how to access your materials and prepare for your first teaching session.
Support begins when you enrol, not only when the first teaching day arrives. We keep cohorts intentionally small, and enrolment closes when the available places are filled.
You do not need previous hypnotherapy training. You do need curiosity about people, a genuine interest in helping others and a willingness to learn, practise, reflect and receive constructive feedback.
The diploma suits people considering a new career and those already working as a counsellor, coach, healthcare or wellbeing practitioner who want to integrate hypnosis responsibly.
Successful graduates receive two professional diplomas as standard: the InsideOut Wellness Academy Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, accredited at Practitioner Level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council, and the NCH Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), an NCFE-accredited customised qualification.
Both certification routes are included in the course fee, within one integrated assessment portfolio - so there is no separate upgrade examination, no duplicated assessment and no upgrade fee. You will be eligible to apply for professional registration with both the GHR and the NCH, subject to their current membership requirements and fees.
We aim to be as flexible as possible. For the January 2027 intake, live teaching is on Wednesday evenings from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, together with selected Saturday sessions of six hours, running from Wednesday 6 January 2027 to Saturday 10 July 2027 and totalling 120 hours of live teaching. An orientation afternoon begins the course. The Saturday sessions are an integral part of the diploma rather than optional workshops.
Alongside the live sessions you should expect additional research and reading, plus assignments and case studies, in line with GHR and NOS requirements - spread across the length of the course rather than taken all at once. One evening a week plus selected Saturdays is a pattern designed for people balancing professional training with work, family and other commitments.
Most students have some doubts before committing to a course like this, and feeling unsure does not mean you are not ready - more often it means you understand that becoming a clinical hypnotherapist is a responsibility and you care about doing it properly.
If you are unsure, book a relaxed enrolment call. There is no sales script and no pressure to decide during the call; it is simply a chance to ask your questions and consider honestly whether the diploma fits your goals and circumstances.
Wednesday 6 January 2027 (orientation) to Saturday 10 July 2027. Wednesday evenings run 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, plus selected Saturdays.
